AALAWuN channel arl - 7th annUal general meeting
Single line! We wanted to separate rubbish into various rubbish types -
writing/maps/drawings/photographs/collages and align each one of them to
its own horizon line
(with an overlap)
Yes chalk liner would be perfect. I love that thing. So cool.
I
think we better leave the staples in, its a nice way of recording what
has been on there before - since the rubbish bags did not last, despite
our instructive note :( oh well. I’m sure there are many other ways we
can summarise in a couple of weeks. Maybe its a restyling of all the
staples in the wall. Take them out and staple them back on again in an
orderly fashion???

Read
the ARKitekcture manifest
Channel
ArK
A
boat or ship or
AA held
to resemble the one in which Noah and his family were preserved from
the Flood of
fake theory
is known as an ark.
From this meaning comes the figurative meaning of ark as
something that affords protection or safety. Ark is
derived from the Latin word arca, meaning
“chest,” which is akin to the Latin verb arcÄ“re, meaning
“to hold off or defend.” These Latin roots also gave us the use
of arkto
refer to the sacred chest representing to the Hebrews the presence of
God among them and also to a repository that traditionally is in, or
against, the wall of a synagogue for the scrolls of the Jewish Torah.
AALAWuN
continues to examine the ancient Unit system that is now an orthodoxy
in Uk schools of architecture ,, what are its advantages and what are
its disadvantages . this is investigated not through verbal discourse
or seminars or debates but through work on the wall and by direct
action .
So
to start with we imagine each unit of the AA as an Ark , a
repository of the tutor’s sacred texts and theories then is tha AA
the mountain on which all these arks rest as the city swirls below ?
Or is the AA an ark and the units the various breeds of creatures
that come into the ark for safety ? Or to breed ?
Anyway
we can explore this dubious metaphor if you wish ..
Is
there a project that you want to run construct?
Remember
the walls of TPWNOG are yours !
We
are putting out to you a pantomime horse race , Pallio, each unit
construct a pantomime horse to reflect the ideas embedded in the
unit’s work . Then a race around the square … Design animal
cocktails .. Design animals augmented to interact with your unit’s
architecture … AA
pet show ,…design
an animatronic for your unit project …. What would a dog designed
by DRL , PVA, Chris P..etc look like ?
