AALAWuN responds to anything that is put in front of it .

Probing and asking questions in an informal ongoing context

Augmenting unassessed student driven projects .

As a response to the current conditions of the AA ,a globally dispersed  community, AALAWuN sees the silent buildings in the square as a mothership , and has a weekly blog  documenting  constructed situations in the square informed by transmissions to  the mother ship in the form of 2min. audio postcards from members of the absent crew .

 

 

This large poster expresses the open ended  working method of LAWuN , it is not a collage , more of an evolving ,unfolding accumulation by different  people at different times that is definitively neither complete or incomplete , at this point  it is also a proposition to ask what future do you want for the AA  and to consider it as a design project  in which managerial protocols serve the  ideas , concepts for a new AA  ?

The many synonyms for the word proposition  describe the design process, theory , idea , premise, postulation , concept

This poster is  a landscape in a state of continuous erosion and additions , nevertheless it is essentially a proposition , for an evolving year’s work whose subject is the AA  ..

A design is in many aspects a complex proposition,

 a list of similar words to proposition provided by Oxford Languages Could be a description of the many aspects of the design process

Perhaps the AA should see the search for a way to negotiate the opportunities now provoked by new media and the forced dispersal of its population as design project , a project to redesign a new AA.

 Presently the discussions seem to concentrate on managerial matters , important as they are we suggest they should be in the service of an idea , an argument , a premise in this case a theory about the role and learning strategies in a post Zoom AI culture. 

Nothing should be excluded , everything should be questioned .

Quarantina is Italian for forty , Forty days the period of lent , Forty days the time incoming ships to Venice used to have to quarantine . Apollo astronauts spent 21 days in quarantine on their return  to earth due to the fear of Moon Plague .Quarantine has its architectural legacy , the architecture of disease ? The Lazzaretto Vecchio in Venice , New York's North Brother Island Imprisonment ?   Apollo's trailer home ? Sme  like the Lazzaretto in Dubrovnik  have become Arts Complexes , a kind of  aesthetic quarantine ? Mostly now quarantine is  privatised in hotels with guards /.At last quarantine can now be seen as an industry .Architects , engineers , researchers , drug manufacturers can    Yet none of this can conceal the fear  of death . Moon Plague , Covid , ?
